December Post Op
Miranda had her surgery this morning and she did wonderful. Surgery took around 2-1/2 hours and the doctor said it was a major surgery for her. He removed several spots of the nevus that was left behind from previous surgeries, lowered her hairline on the left side and removed the large scar that ran across her forehead on down to her left ear.
As you can tell in the photo, there is too much dressing for us to see the majority of the work that was done. You can see a few of the stitches on the nose and near the eye where the doctor removed some residual nevus skin. In addition, he grafted a small piece of skin taken from behind her ear to place in the corner of her left eye where a small nevus dot remained.

She is expected to be in the hospital for two nights, maybe three. I'll try and get some more photos tomorrow or Wednesday and send another update.

Matt and I were talking about you this aftenoon. We're glad she could get in before the end of the year - and YEAH that it went well! Hopes for a speedy recovery and great nurses!
